Supports customer logistics requirements through the analysis organization planning and administration of various phases of day-to-day inventory activities related:
Provides end to end logistics services support to the contracts customer at the customers site to include material ordering, receiving, inventory management, issuance, and disposition/decommission.
Acknowledges, documents, validates, and receives government property as well as issues out property according to contractual and FAR requirements.
Generate requisitions within the customers ordering system from provided requirements.
Sources needed materials within the marketplace to support product design and testing projects.
Executes inventory control efforts for assigned government-owned property including cycle counting and customer annual inventory requirements.
Investigate inventory variances to correct on-hand carrying counts and identify root cause to recommend operational changes to eliminate future occurrence.
Perform quality assurance activities to ensure systematic inventories balance and align between disparate systems
Executes all necessary inventory changes in contracts inventory management system.
Follows established policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
Bachelors Degree, with a concentration in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Operations preferred. Military experience will be considered.
Secret clearance required to start; ability to obtain Top Secret needed
2-3 years experience in inventory and asset management
Knowledge of FAR guidelines to managing property
Understand the various methodologies of inventory management (FIFO, LIFO, FEFO) and the cost drivers to managing inventory stock
Candidate must be detail-oriented, a self-starter, and someone who takes initiative with minimal supervision.
