GDIT is hiring a Network Operations Senior Manager to oversee the technical execution of our Core Transport Network Engineering team on our JSP Enterprise Transport Management (ETM) NG (Next Gen) contract at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.
The Network Operations Manager will lead the team that supports 24/7 Network Operations to include Level 1 & 2 technical service desk, Voice Operations, as well as Level 3 & 4 SME support.
A successful candidate will have experience managing a large team of skilled engineers in a high pace, high visibility enterprise environment.
Monitor, manage, and mentor ETM network operations/support tech team
Ensure the primary infrastructure systems within the JSP Transport Network & Voice Systems are effectively maintained and administered to ensure smooth reliable operations.
Ensure effective monitoring, maintenance, and administration of network, server, power, and security alerting systems
Oversee coordination and communication with the JSP Battle Captain & various customers to provide effective support during Outages and authorized maintenance windows. Ensure JSP system configurations are as updated and current as possible.
Oversee ETM Network incidents & requests within REMEDY. Ensure SLAs are correctly defined and met.
Ensure staffing of effective 24-7 Network operations with rotating on-call schedule, escalation paths, and emergency response plans.
Oversee maintenance of JSP infrastructure and work closely with Asset Management to ensure availability of critical spares as needed.
Ensure effective coordination and cooperation with other IT Service entities to smoothly facilitate the resolution of cross domain incidents/requests
Ensure required SOP, Work Instructions, and TTP’s are created, updated, & available to staff and customer.
Active Secret security clearance
Bachelor of Science in IT/Engineering or related fields or equivalent years of experience
10+ years management experience.
Security+ CE certification
Communication skills - verbal and written
Problem analysis and problem solving
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multitask in a stressful environment
Must be well versed in rules, regulations, and standards prescribed in DISA circulars.
Solid Customer Support Skills in a high visibility environment.
Familiarity with DISA Operational process & procedures.
