Come work with an agile team that is developing new systems utilizing C# .Net Core, SQL server, service architecture, and more in support of the Alabama Supercomputer Authority. Help with maintenance and expansion of existing systems and design new systems from the ground up to support our customers. Work with a great team as we develop enterprise software for education and workforce development within the state. Responsibilities

  • Support full life cycle development
  • Analyze, design, and develop modern web applications that can scale with our customers’ needs
  • Participate in code review
  • Maintain current applications

Required

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or the equivalent combination of work experience
  • 2+ years of Software Development experience
  • 1-2 years of SQL (or other transactional database language) development
  • Experience writing Stored Procedures
  • Experience with .Net, Entity Framework, and LINQ (or other object-database framework tools)
  • Ensure the performance, reliability, security, and ease of application maintenance

Desired

  • Experience with data warehousing tools and techniques (star-schema, ETL, analytical cube, etc.)
  • Experience with data matching individual records to create master person records
  • Experience with data mining and visualization tools
  • Full Stack development experience
  • Experience with unit testing, code review, source control merge requests, and continuous integration
  • Experience with C#, .Net Core, or other object-oriented programming language
  • Experience with Code First and Database First database design
  • Experience with RESTful APIs
  • Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS)
  • Experience with Agile development
