As an Operations Analyst Lead, you will be trusted to plan and execute assessments and demonstrations of Command and Control (C2) and information technology capabilities. The Operations Analyst compiles information to help make decisions regarding military strategy. Analysts may work in the field interpreting data about enemy operations, or they may evaluate broader military processes in consulting positions. Responsibilities will include researching and modeling military systems performance and operations; developing analytical methods and tools to facilitate analyses; executing trade studies; performing data analytics & statistical analysis; and developing effective presentations that succinctly communicate results and findings. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Serve as contract lead for assessment projects: mentor team members with technical and project management expertise, ensure project tasks and deliverables are accomplished on time, ensure client priorities are met, provide inputs to weekly and monthly status reports, and notify Team Lead of status changes and issues.

  • Conduct evaluations of new systems or updates to existing systems.

  • Provide analytical and technical support in Command and Control (C2) Tactics, Techniques, Procedures (TTPs) to related system assessment or integration projects.

  • Gather, process, and analyze system performance, interoperability, and operational use data.

  • Identify and recommend emergent relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes.

  • Employ typical project management tools and techniques to efficiently accomplish project objectives (e.g., labor estimates, task analysis, task duration estimates, schedule deconfliction, communications, team leadership, plans of action, risk mitigation, lessons learned, etc.).

  • Create and update project documentation including system procedures, assessment plans, reports, presentations, and training materials using Microsoft Office, data analysis tools such as Tableau, and SharePoint.

  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas.

  • Participate in special projects as required.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work/military experience

  • 8-10 years of directly related computer systems analysis experience

  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance.

  • U.S. citizenship

  • Experience in project leadership, team building, and team motivation to facilitate project success including actions to inspire and motivate the project team towards project goals

  • Experience with Service and/or Joint command and control (C2) systems, e.g., Global Command and Control – Joint (GCCS-J), Global Command and Control – Integrated Imagery and Intelligence (GCCS-I3), Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS), Advance Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), Distributed Common Ground Systems (DCGS)

  • Knowledge of multi-domain/all-domain information/data sharing

  • Experience developing reports, presenting findings and analysis, and managing comment review matrices

  • Experience testing and evaluating C2 systems and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures

  • Excellent written and verbal communications and analytical skills
