If awarded, GDIT will design, develop and implement a AWS cloud based web application and associated services, with a heavy emphasis on ensuring that the end-user experience, which will authentication and authorize end-users to avail Federal government services. GDIT is seeking truly knowledgeable talent who can perform business analysis functions. Understand customer and stake holder needs to develop agile user stories and requirements, knowledgeable with the data structures and are highly skilled in their technical execution

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring user stories include validation criteria which reasonably covers all areas necessary for complete testing of the new functionality
  • Responsible for capturing, analyzing and developing requirements documents and other project related artifacts associated with designated project
  • Breakdown the roadmap into Epics and decompose into user stories
  • Work with the scrum team and stakeholders to write user stories
  • Verify completion of requirements with customer and service providers, ensuring expectations are appropriately met
  • List out risks and constraints in relation to identified requirements.
  • Participate in customer-facing meetings to facilitate discussions program initiatives.
  • Interview and interface with value streams to obtain needed business requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders and the project team to prioritize the backlog.
  • Create documentation to support and describe business initiatives
  • Create Wireframes for the user stories and review them with users and gather feedback
  • Document functional, nonfunctional, and operational requirements specifications
  • Document user stories and provide technical review and validation of requirements
  • Documents workflows and processes based on business requirements
  • Support the collection and reporting of requirements related metrics
  • Participate as a member of a Scrum team
  • Provide additional support and guidance to clients during the implementation phase to include development of training resources
  • Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 4 years of experience developing and maintaining system lifecycle documentation
  • 4 years of experience working with business processes and re-engineering
  • 4 years of experience capturing requirements
  • 4 years of experience capturing and writing user stories
  • 4 or more years of business processes and business analysis experience in a system engineering or software application environment
  • 3 years of experience using JIRA, ALM, and Confluence
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices and an understanding of industry trends and difficulties

Desired Education, Experience, and Skills

  • US Citizen with DHS Public Trust suitability clearance/EOD
  • Experience with any DHS agencies or entities
  • Experience working in a Scrum or Kanban Agile environment
  • Experience creating wireframes using Affinity Designer, Visio
  • Experience in Human Centered Design approach for developing digital services
  • Excellent mentoring skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical topics to management and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to integrate information from multiple sources
  • Ability to work independently and interact regularly with government and non-government stakeholders at multiple levels of authority
  • Works well as a team member in a fast-paced and often time-sensitive environment


  • Candidate must be an US citizen able to obtain DHS Public Trust clearance and USCIS EOD to start work
