Team GDIT is seeking a Network Engineer / Team Lead in support of the IBD-SS program’s FMV Sustainment of systems in the SWA area of operations. The Network Engineer / Team Lead will be engaged, responsible and proactive for the overall day-to-day functioning of direct reports, situational awareness of all personnel and program equipment status. The Theater Lead will be able to work under general direction from GDIT Leadership and accomplish all daily tasks. Candidate should always demonstrate effective communication, professionalism, problem-solving skills, and leadership. This position desires an individual who has past experience performing mechanical, electronic, and IT Networking tasks as well as skills performing installs, de-installs, testing of systems and components and performing Preventive Maintenance actions on a variety of systems belonging to the Elevated Sensors family of systems to include BETSS-C, Cerberus, RDISS, Radar, PTP radio, television and other communications & surveillance equipment components. A strong background in IT networks and Network Security is also desired. CONUS training in various locations will be required prior to deployment.
Responsible for developing and tracking direct reports daily and monthly.
Attend daily meetings and arrange demonstrations of the system and program to VIPs and visitors.
Uses hand tools, power tools, and electronics measuring and test equipment to troubleshoot, repair, and remove and replace components
Performs fault detection, isolation, and correction of software and hardware systems and components
Updates databases to input/extract data, informs Lead of job status and any issues encountered
Tracks and updates work orders to include the replacement of parts component serial numbers removed and replaced
May travel via military/commercial conveyances to outlying areas
Interacts and professionally exhibits customer service skills and be able to present a positive approach with customers and peers
Works in extreme environment and must be able to withstand physical demands of seasonal hot or cold temperatures and willing to live and operate in an austere environment
Must be willing to support up to an 84-hour Extended Work Week
Possesses a US passport that will not expire for at least 2 or more years and must have at least 4 consecutive blank pages for country visas
Must be capable of meeting standards of fitness for deployment to the SWA of Operations
Must be a team player with effective oral and written communication skills.
Willing and able to work on team projects and independently.
Relevant and recent experience supporting FMV or other Force Protection Systems is highly desirable
Working knowledge of on a variety of systems belonging to the Elevated Sensors family of systems to include BETSS-C, Cerberus, RDISS, Radar, PTP radio, television and other communications & surveillance equipment components
A strong background in IT networks and Network Security is also desired
Experience utilizing COLTS (or similar such as RCLS) and operating within the GCSS-A environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel
Import/Export (ITAR/EXIM) compliance experience
Ability to multi-task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively including attention to detail
Senior Level: BA/BS + 8-12 yrs. experience (15 yrs. Exp. in lieu of a degree)
Comp TIA Security+, Network+, or A+ certification as directed by the IBD-SS Program Manager
CCNA or higher level certification is highly desirable
Must have a US Secret security clearance
