Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of a team that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. We are searching for an Associate Task Manager to support the Navigation, Seamanship, and Ship-handling Trainer (NSST) program in Orlando, FL.
This position must be supported on site in Orlando, FL, and we are not offering relocation assistance at this time.
As the Task Manager, you will:
Help oversee and manage the operational aspects of an ongoing IT task order and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
Review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules, and prepares status reports.
Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients and other stakeholders.
Review and determine which product and architecture recommendations from your development team to present to the client.
Coordinates with the cyber and ops team, along with client counterparts to ensure compliance with national information security mandates and requirements.
Prepares briefing slides, status charts and support documentation as presentations for the client and GDIT leadership.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree: additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
3+ years of experience as an IT program or project manager in managing DoD programs and contracts
Experience with Navy simulation technology highly desired
Experience in conducting government contract requirements analysis, resource allocation, project costing, deliverable tracking, schedule and financial data monitoring and reporting.
Experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
PMP certification desired
US citizen; Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance
