In this role, a typical day will include: Prepares detailed specifications for programs. Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation. Full technical knowledge and responsibility of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming. Instructing, directing and checking the work of other systems analysts and programming personnel. Responsible for quality assurance review and for directing and monitoring the work of team members.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a minimum of seven years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in performing systems analysis, development, and implementation of business, mathematical, or scientific setting using a variety of information technology resources. Requires experience with current technologies and, where required for the task, emerging technologies.

No Degree - 11 years of related experience

MA/MS - 5 years of related experience

Demonstrated expertise in application and technical leadership of Mainframe

Cloud Readiness Assessment and Disposition to support modernization activities.
Demonstrated understanding of current mainframe system architectures such as z/OS, Datacom, CA-IDEAL.  Supporting and defining Target State Cloud Architecture and roadmap, Migration of on-premise legacy systems, and Operations and continued Modernization of Hybrid Cloud hosted infrastructure and applications.
Expert knowledge of Mainframe Database Administration and Architecture for CA-Datacom, CA-IDEAL, Data Management, Data Modeling.  Ability to support Transformation, Migration, Configuration of on-premise mainframe Database and data to AWS using Cloud Native Services, Data Management Pipelines, Open-Source and Industry products.
Manage mainframe application team and maintains/tracks mainframe costs related to modernization/migration activities.
Production support as it relates to CA-Datacom and performs routine data base maintenance and tasks. Performs tuning and makes recommendations for application code as needed to support migration to target systems.
Understands batch and mainframe systems and change activities for Mainframe Platform. Knowledge of mainframe tools such as NQ-Series, Connect Direct, TOP SECRET, 3270 emulation, CICS, JCL, REXX, Assembler, scheduling, debugging tools, and code release management.
Experience with Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and DevSecOps methodologies.
Experienced with automating operations and workflow procedures for data transformations.
Experience with migration of at least one on-premise mainframe Legacy System to AWS is must.

The likely salary range for this position is $118,400 - $177,600, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
