GDIT has an opportunity for a Senior Program Manager for cyber security with technical knowledge and experience in developing, integrating, managing and deploying enterprise cyber security services for Department of Defense (DOD) customers. The highly skilled individual will manage skilled cyber security workforce professionals providing leading edge COTS/GOTS cyber solutions to Navy networks and network infrastructures.  As senior director the candidate will have direct and frequent interaction with stakeholders and senior General Dynamics leadership. The Senior Cyber PM will provide planning, coordination, and governance for overseeing successful delivery cybersecurity solutions; Collaborates with enterprise cybersecurity team(s) and other stakeholders to determine enterprise tools, AoA technologies and processes to develop, optimize and deploy the enterprise cybersecurity operational environment. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead and guide technical team using agile mindset to create a collaborative environment that fosters teamwork and continuous improvement throughout the lifecycle of the program.  Takes ownership and accountability of all aspects of the program.

  • Integrated Master Schedule development to track the associated activities of the program taking regular status and driving the work to completion.  Ensure tasks are decomposed to a level where progress is monitored on a weekly basis and that resources are loaded into the schedule to monitor estimate to complete. 

  • Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.   Aggressively remove impediments that slow down or prevent the program from meeting milestones.  Effectively communicate with team to ensure that all understand program objectives and work to be accomplished. 

  • Enforce engineering process rigor for the complexity of the tasks to ensure the team can create the products that meet the customer needs.  Implement a configuration management plan and adhere to the control process.  Controlled documentation will capture the gamut of documentation supporting the Risk Management Framework (RMF).

  • Use the Decision Analysis and Resolution processes to conduct and document analysis of alternatives to mitigate risks, cost reductions, performance and other capabilities or performance areas.  Develop presentation material and present to the technical staff and decision makers.   

  • Work closely with team to identify knowledge gaps and continuously identify opportunities to acquire requisite expertise through certification training, hiring, in-house training or other creative methods. 

  • Work closely with the government team and be the primary interface with the Government Program Manager.

  • Understand, promote, and hold the cyber team accountable for all company, customer, and program policies and procedures.  Develop and maintain a culture of quality, performance, and continuous improvement within the cloud / cyber team.


  • BS, preferably Engineering, Computer science or related IT focused area
  • 7+  years of experience in cybersecurity management.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting Defensive Cyber Operations
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (Desired)
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) (Required)
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) (Highly Desired)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the process and policies in order to achieve an Authority to Operate (ATO)
  • Must have exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skill sets.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ship board installation process and procedures
  • Shall have demonstrated management experience in conducting requirements analysis, resource allocation, project costing, deliverable tracking, schedule and financial data monitoring, and reporting
  • Demonstrated experience and success shaping, developing, and winning new business with existing and/or new customers including active participation with customer call plans, captures and proposals.

Security Clearance:

  • Must have ability to obtain a TOP SECRET/SCI DoD Clearance. 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience
