Job Description

HOW A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (SYSTEMS SOFTWARE) WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Documented Cognos report development, with an understanding of the metadata model as it relates to the DB data model, and the ability to implement new reports.
  • BI design and development experience using Cognos 8 and/or 10 (Report Studio, Metric Studio, Framework Manager, Data Manager and PowerPlay)
  • Documented experience designing framework models, catalogs and creating list reports, freestyle reports, cross-tab reports, sub reports and dashboard reports
  • Background in data warehouse design and dimensional modeling.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Excellent skills in DB Schema design and SQL development
  • Experience creating reports from disparate database management systems (Oracle, PostGres, MySQL)
  • Able to work within Agile environment
  • Minimum of 15 years related experience. 

Desired Skills:

  • Working knowledge of visualization tools like (Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Experience with maintaining and RBAC or application access policies
  • Documented background in data warehouse design and dimensional modeling.  
  • Experience with Cloud Technologies (DMS, CDC, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, EC2)

Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in software development

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BA/BS or equivalent, 15+ years of experience
