The world of investing is fascinating yet complex. While hundreds of first -time investors are turning to the markets to help pay for their homes, send their children to college and secure their futures the mission of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is becoming all the more vital.  GDIT is excited to support the SEC in as it seeks to protect investors, maintain fair, orderly, and efficient markets, and facilitate capital formation.

The SEC ISS program is a comprehensive IT program charged with operating, managing, and advancing the SEC’s IT infrastructure. Our dynamic program team of IT leaders and large and small business partners is seeking bright, energetic and talented individuals to join us as we bring our innovative IT Service Delivery solutions to SEC. Currently; we are seeking a Citrix SME in Washington, D.C. The selected candidate must be US Citizens (without dual citizenship) and able to obtain a Public Trust Suitability clearance, per contract requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex problems on physical and virtual infrastructure platforms.

  • Recommends, implements and document corrective solutions and preventative measures.

  • Participate in the evaluation and recommendation of new technology solutions.

  • Document policies, standards and knowledgebase articles.

  • Provide operational and Tier 2 and Tier 3 customer support for the Citrix environment.

  • Evaluate, plan and integrate technical infrastructure solutions with a secure infrastructure environment, production stability, and performance.

  • Assist with the rollout of large projects, including installing computers, networking equipment, server and storage solutions and more.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Sound knowledge of the following technologies:

    • XenApp 6.5 and 7.6.

    • Web Interface and StoreFront platforms.

    • Windows 7/10 and Windows Server 2016/2012/2008 R2.

    • Hypervisors, VMWare vSphere, MS Hyper-V and Citrix XenServer.

    • XenApp farm migration and upgrades.

  • Provisioning services and virtualizing Citrix Servers and VDI.

  • Physical and logical networking; to include Application Virtualization technologies (MS App-V)

  • Demonstrated experience in the O&M of Citrix Machine Creation Services (MCS) and/or Provisioning Services (PVS) for desktop servicing

  • Familiarity with proactively monitoring VDI implementations for performance degradation and tuning and optimization opportunities.

  • Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificate generation, use, and upkeep as it pertains to Citrix-based solutions

  • Familiarity with basic Networking troubleshooting concepts and approaches. interact at all levels of management internally, and with customers

  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Excellent follow-through

  • Must have the ability to analyze, explain and document methodically.

  • Must be able to multi-task

  • Flexibility and ability to bounce between projects quickly

  • A natural troubleshooter; someone who will see a problem through until its resolved, and is able to quickly diagnose problems even on technology not previously worked with.
