Job Description

GDIT is seeking an Electronics Technician Maintenance person in AEGIS or SSDS field to help support SCSC Wallops Island Navy Testing and Development program. 

As an Electronics Technician Maintenance for our Testing and Development program at Wallops Island, Virginia you will be responsible for AEGIS or SSDS combat system equipment assessing, troubleshooting, and performing corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance on electrical and/or mechanical systems and/or equipment.

In this role, a typical day will include:

Assess and verify system setup and operations, respond to issues/problems from Test Directors and/or complete preventive maintenance on electrical and/or mechanical systems and/or equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance

  • 2 years demonstrated experience

  • 2 year AS or AAS degree or a trade/vocational school certification in electronics, electrical or mechanical discipline may be substituted for demonstrated experience.

  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner

Desired Qualifications:

  • 4 years AEGIS or SSDS Combat Systems/Weapons Maintenance personnel

  • US NAVY 3M  Maintenance person qualification 301

  • Demonstrated experience use technical manuals, schematic, and test equipment
