As an Administrative Assistant II, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
The office recently converted all its paper holdings into digital files and moved them into our elibrary
A primary responsibility for this Administrative Assistant (AA) position will be, under direction for a while, moving files from our shared drive to the elibrary, with the goal of becoming the administrator/expert on the files contained in the elibrary
The AA will be tasked with researching issues and questions, as well as general fact-finding that requires a deeper dive which may include cultivating information and gathering data using sponsor systems
The research sources could include one or all of the following: Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) website, the Sponsor's regulations, Dept of State's (DoS) benefits and allowances documents (DSSR, FAM), Federal Travel Regulations, in addition to HR Policy's own elibrary that houses all our historical documents, etc.
The work would require that the AA be able to take a general description, question, issue, with recommended starting sources, and correlate topical areas
The AA will at times be asked to work on associated administrative projects
No overtime is anticipated, and there are no physical requirements nor any travel, nor will there be any travel
Solid communication skills (verbal and written) and a team orientation are required
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
HS Diploma and 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
TS/SCI with Polygraph
The work schedule is negotiable around the core hours of 10:00am -2:00pm
Proficient Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
The position is on customer site
