Job Description

GDIT has an exciting opportunity for a SharePoint Systems Administrator to support U.S. Army Europe and NATO forces as a member of our EMITS Program Team.

The SharePoint Systems Admin will be responsible for the overall development, support and maintenance of the Microsoft SharePoint platform.  They will provide SharePoint architectural and technical product expertise and serves as the SME for SharePoint-related projects and assess/implement new capabilities as needed throughout the organization. 

Additional Duties

  • Develops and supports workflow solutions using SharePoint workflow and Microsoft Flow. 

  • Ensures the operational health of the SharePoint online environment including security, availability, performance, interoperability and reliability. 

  • Conducts routine monitoring and analysis to include Audit Log Reports evaluation, system and storage utilization reports, and site and system usage. 

  • Performs routine SharePoint administration activities such as site provisioning, permissions management, site collection configuration, search configuration, and other system administration tasks. 

  • Creates and leverages PowerShell scripts for automating tasks and reporting. 

  • Develops and maintains established disaster recovery, best practices and governance policies/procedures. 

  • Provides guidance, support and training to site owners as needed on items related to content management, permissions, site ownership, document management, forms and workflows. 

Requirements

  • MCSA or MCSE Server certification preferred. 

  • Certification in VMware architectures preferred.

  • Candidate must be able to meet German TESA requirements.

  • Candidate must possess DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification on Day 1.

  • Candidate must obtain ITIL Foundation certification within 90 days of hire.

  • Candidate must obtain one or more of the following certifications within 6 months of hire: VMWare VCP-DCV, MCSE, MCSA

German TESA requirements:

  • A bachelors degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR;

  • An associates degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;

  • A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;

  • 11 years of recent specialized experience.
