GDIT is seeking a Server Operations Engineer to help support our Joint Service Provider - Engineering and Development for the Enterprise (JSP ED-E) contract in Arlington, VA.
The Server Operations Engineer is responsible for:
Developing and maintaining secure data & voice networks.
Analysis, design, development and deployment of technical solutions.
Maintaining and troubleshooting network devices in an enterprise environment.
Enterprise server administration and security tools engineering.
The ability to work in a fast moving, challenging DoD environment.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Active Top Secret Clearance at minimum. (NOTE: Interim TS Clearances are NOT allowed.)
DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or higher)
Computing Environment certification (Examples include but are not limited to: A+ CE, CCNA, JNICA)
Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Proficiency deploying, managing, and troubleshooting both hardware and software solutions
In depth knowledge of Windows (Workstation & Server)
Experience with enterprise network storage solutions (SANs, storage backup and recovery)
Experience deploying and maintaining virtualization technologies.
Understanding of network technologies and principles, security policies, firewalls, and L2/L3 switch and router devices (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba)
Familiarity with network performance monitoring tools
Possess flexibility to operate in a highly dynamic environment while ensuring a high level of operational effectiveness
Detail oriented with ability to work well in a team environment
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge/Experience with Linux operating systems
Experience automating applications and infrastructure in enterprise networks (Ansible)
