Information Systems Security Officer / Information Security Analyst Sr Advisor

HOW AN ISSO WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: 

  • The ISSO is responsible for ensuring the appropriate operational security posture is maintained and documented for JMSC-IP information systems.

  • The position is responsible for defining & implementing standard operating procedures, implementing DoD, Army, & MTC policies, and creating & implementing plans of action and milestones (POA&M) in response to vulnerabilities identified during risk assessments, audits, & inspections.

  • Assures successful implementation and functionality of security requirements and appropriate IT policies and procedures that are consistent with the organization's mission and goals.

  • Performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.

  • Monitor, evaluate, and maintain systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems, network, databases, and Web-based security.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: 

  • Education: BA/BS (in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field with concentration in computer-based technology); or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training.

  • Certifications: Appropriate DoD 8140.03 baseline certifications as an IAMII are required.

  • Required Experience: 10+ years of experience; Military experience preferred.

  • Required Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of the SCA-V process and inspection program / Skilled in eMASS / Knowledge of current industry methods for evaluating, implementing, and disseminating IT security assessment, monitoring, detection and remediation tools and procedures utilizing standards-based concepts and capabilities / Expert understanding of NIST, DoD, & Army Cybersecurity & Risk Management Framework policies, directives, instructions, manuals, and best business practices / Experience with SolarWinds or similar discovery and analysis tools.

  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI

  • Required Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of disaster recovery continuity of operations plans / Knowledge of enterprise incident response program, roles, and responsibilities / Knowledge of network security architecture concepts including topology, protocols, components, and principles / Knowledge of server administration and systems engineering theories, concepts, and methods / Strong communication skills

  • Preferred Skills: Advanced knowledge of Network and Cybersecurity Architecture planning and maintenance support / Advanced experience in Cybersecurity documentation and auditing tools.

  • Location: On Customer Site
