GDITs Military Health team is hiring an Outreach and Marketing Coordinator to support the Continuing Education Program Office for the Defense Health Agency (DHA) located in Silver Spring, MD.

The Continuing Education Program Office leads a standardized, high value education and training across the Military Health System (MHS).  The Defense Health Agency (DHA) Education & Training Directorate (J7) Continuing Education Program Office (CEPO) is charged with executing the complex, dynamic mission of leading the Department of Defense (DoD) in education and training, coordination, and collaboration.


  • Conducts outreach to stakeholders through calls and email to increase attendance at events
  • Develop comprehensive outreach plans for virtual and hybrid events.
  • Act as continuing education knowledge specialist on behalf of the Continuing Education Program Office.
  • Develops briefings on Defense Health Agency Educational Events that can be conducted via virtual platform.
  • Develops monthly newsletter for dissemination.
  • Collaborate with Public Affairs Office to identify key marketing practices and stakeholders.
  • Compile event specific outreach efforts for inclusion in After Action Reports.
  • Oversee event promotion activities, target audience identification and the outreach plan.
  • Support execution of webinar and live activities as needed; occasional local travel from regular jobsite required.
  • Engage with the Defense Health Agency Points of Contact (POC) to identify key stakeholders and targeted populations for each event.
  • Document weekly outreach activities for inclusion in weekly quads and monthly reports.
  • Provide general support and become cross trained to support the entire Continuing Education Program Office to ensure the success of the contract. All team members support all areas.
  • Frequently take meeting minutes and provide to customer for review and approval.
  • Book conference room reservations and schedule outlook meetings.
  • Print meeting agendas; weekly customer documents and develop binders as requested. Responsible for maintaining SharePoint website to include the upload of all team documents.
  • Job is 70% Outreach and 30% Administrative.
  • Ensures necessary inventory levels of marketing handouts and educational materials is printed; maintained; and disseminated within appropriate timelines.
  • Responsible for maintaining adequate office supplies and placing orders as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as required.



  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing; Advertising; Public Relations; or related field
  • 2-5 years of related experience.
  • Must possess effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Flexible team member who thrives in environments requiring ability to effectively prioritize; multitask; and judge concurrent projects.
  • Ability to build rapport and trusting relationships with customer and team members.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Connect a plus.
  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a favorable NACLC T3 security investigation.


  • Ability to conduct internet searches
  • Strong interpersonal; oral; and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to successfully convey accurate messages to co-workers; customers; and other organizations.
  • Shows initiative and ability to work independently and as a team using problem solving skills.
  • Familiarity and proficiency in Communication and Marketing Software.
