Our work depends on a cleared (TS/SCI) Senior Geospatial Analyst joining our team to support our DoD customer in Alexandria, VA (Army Geospatial Center - AGC), Springfield, VA and Remotely.

General Description: Develops and/or Utilizes Geographic Information System (GIS) techniques to provide a better understanding of certain variables in a spatial context. Proficient in GIS theory and applications. Extracts data from GIS software and uses varying analytical methodologies to derive assessments and produce resulting products. Recommends appropriate reactionary strategies in response to GIS technology strategies. Near expert knowledge of GIS software, data, and technology. Provides direction and advice regarding database development and implementation in an enterprise environment. Expertise in performing data conversion and migration, and able to participate in functional testing of geospatial systems, applications, models, data, and scripts. Design and implement efficient production tools and coordinate workflow with project personnel. Performs oversight of analysis of remotely sensed data, producing and maintaining cartographic databases, updating cartographic data from intelligence and DoD databases and producing mission specific data sets and reports.

Specific Description: Must be intimately familiar with the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) architectures, the Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A), integration of geospatial applications across a wide array of Army systems and must be familiar with hardware and software builds used by Geospatial Engineers and other end users. Must have experience developing and using Web Mapping Applications (ArcGIS Portal and Online) and various map services such as WMS, WMTS, WCS, and WFS. Knowledge of enterprise GIS deployments and technologies is required, including expert level knowledge of geodatabases and database management (open-source and proprietary), including using PostgreSQL, SQL Server (2012 or higher). Must be familiar with Python Scripting for GIS and implementation of testing suites such as JMeter. Must have knowledge of military applications of geospatial analytics and intelligence systems of the Army (including DCGS-A).
