Join General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) and be a part of the team of men and women that solve some of the world’s most complex technical challenges. The Navy’s Personnel Modernization program is currently searching for a Senior Professional Business Analyst to join their team.

The PersMod program delivers sailor self-service and automation of high volume, routine transactions. This enables legacy system consolidation and development of inter-operable capabilities, which can be leveraged across the portfolio of Navy personnel systems.

In this role you analyze business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems, such as the Navy’s human resources system.

Duties include:

  • Analyze changes in policies, procedures and products; determine impact on the group functions.
  • Identify and analyze opportunities for new and/or improved processes, data, or technology; provide clear picture of possible outcomes.
  • Plan, design, streamline, and document business processes to improve business activities.
  • Collaborate with team to analyze and improve processing procedures and resolve problems.
  • Coordinate the development and creation of OS, COTS applications and SOPs and playbooks. Create, manage, and update Operations and Cyber Security SOP and playbook repository.   
  • Coordinates with teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls.
  • Coordinates the procurement of COTS software. Liaison with software venders and submit procurement requests into Salesforce.
  • Maintain repository of environment software licenses and a schedule for renewing
  • Translates customer needs into system, hardware, software, performance, network, and interface requirements.
  • Interfaces with system developers and testers to clarify requirements and validate that they are designing, developing, and testing to the customer's requirements.
  • Performs and documents requirements management in a repository or matrix.
  • Performs requirements analysis for hardware and software through customer interviews, comparison to existing requirements, creates of process flows, use cases, and other artifacts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree; MS/MA preferred;  additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • 10+ years of Business Management experience to include requirements elicitation
  • 5+ years of experience working in My Navy HR (Navy MPT&E) organization
  • Expertise utilizing Navy personnel systems
  • Document requirements management experience
  • Secret clearance; Interim secret minimum to start
