GDIT is seeking a Network Mapping Analyst to help support our ITPMS program in Fort Meade, MD.

The analyst will join a team for infrastructure sustainment at the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) who will be responsible for maintaining IP and Transport network connectivity maps using existing Government software.  The successful candidate will be able to work independently, as well as in a team environment, and demonstrate skills of an excellent communicator, business writer, relationship manager. The position requires detail oriented, methodical, knowledge of internal and external plant telecommunication wiring, and the ability to do market research, deal with telecom industry. Additionally, the candidate should be knowledgeable of version control, library management, change request processes, and will be cross-trained to provide backfill support for Configuration Management Team.

Additional responsibilities to include, but not limited to the following:

  • Customer/Client Collaboration

  • Communication skills to meet with customers and discuss their requirements

  • Problem solving skills: Microsoft has limitations and we need to be able to work around these instead of coming to a road block

  • Use of ArcGIS, Python, VBA, MS Access, MS Visio

  • Understanding of Network Topologies

  • Create visual representations of existing global data

  • Conducting analysis of metadata

  • Using knowledge of customer requirements to analyze and process intelligence information Network map/topology interpretation/reading

  • Requirements processing

  • Communicate CM status to CM Team

  • Exercise great attention to detail with respect to managing change requests and program libraries

Required Qualifications:
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering, Networking, Telecommunications, or a related field

  • 3+ years of configuration management experience

  • Experience with network mapping analysis

  • Proficient in ArcGIS ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro 2.0

  • Proficient in Microsoft Visio

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Experience in ArcGIS Suite

  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance

  • ArcGIS Desktop Associate (Esri Academy)
