GDIT is seeking a Senior Cloud Network Architect to help support our Cloud Service Offering contract, Defense Enterprise Office Solutions (DEOS). This position will require the employee to report onsite in Fort Meade, MD or Chantilly, VA.

As a Cloud Network Architect, you will be responsible for designing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining enterprise cloud network capabilities to include IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings for our DoD customers.  Successful candidate must have a strong understanding of DOD cloud governance, including CC-SRG, SCCA, CAP architectures, required to implement IL5/IL6 cloud services for DOD customers. The Cloud Network Architect responsibilities include:

  • Leads the development and implementation of large and complex IT solutions. This includes architecting the solution, piloting, first time implementation, documentation and standardization for repeatable deployment.  

  • Plan, design, and implement network management systems to monitor, diagnose, control, and measure performance of multiple communication networks. 

  • Collaborates with enterprise architecture team and other stakeholders to determine enterprise tools, technologies and processes.  

  • Leads communication internally to team, management and other key leadership.  

  • Effectively communicate at a senior leadership level.  

  • Guides leadership how strategy could be executed.  

  • Serves as a leadership resource for developing strategy and effective project implementation; clearly articulates the resource needs and works with others to obtain resource commitments.  

Required Qualifications:  

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance  

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification  

  • BA/BS Degree

  • 10 years of experience (additional years of experience and/or certifications may be considered in place of education)  

  • Experience with Cloud infrastructure design in a networking capacity with Microsoft Azure. 

  • Expert Knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting architecture, routing protocols and routing system architecture and design, access control lists, and firewall architecture 

  • Expertise of information technology principles, methods, and techniques as well as knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment 

  • Experience with MS Office 365 design, deployment and migration 

  • Experience with hybrid and cloud service delivery models

  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment 

  • Able to report onsite as indicated above

Desired Qualifications:  

  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification  

  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification  

  • Familiarity with Git
