Role responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring customer expectations are met, exceeded and managed as cost effectively as possible.
  • Compile, submit, and analyze accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Responsible for data input through the Logistics Information Systems (LIS). Currently utilizing Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-A).
  • Responsible for purchasing, shipping and transportation, inventory, warehousing, Production Control and delivery activities.
  • Management of the movement goods or supplies, from common consumer goods to military supplies.
  • Oversee the full order cycle.
  • Ensure contract/company vehicles and equipment supplied are kept clean and tidy at all times, serviced within country sponsor’s guideline, and ensure any defects are notified to correct parties and rectified in a timely manner.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Maintain a positive attitude.
  • Plan and manage logistics, inventory, transportation and customer services.
  • Review the success of logistical functions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure the delivery of products on time and to the right location.
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Comply with local and federal laws, military regulations, and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) requirements.
  • Kuwait currently works a 48 hour work week.
  • Carry out additional duties as requested.

The Ideal Candidate must have:

  • An active U.S. government SECRET clearance.
  • Extensive knowledge and certifications in the Global Combat Support System - Army, Procurement Management, Asset Management, Transportation and Shipping Management to include Production Control Management.
  • 10 to 15 years of proven leadership experience in an industrial or commercial logistics environment.
  • B.A. or equivalent and 3 years of related experience (One year of military experience may be substituted for one year of academic requirements to fulfill the bachelor's degree requirement.
  • Record of successful distribution and logistics management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently or on teams to handle multiple projects.
  • Experience working in hostile and austere environments.
  • Experience in stock control and asset management.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to perform several tasks at one time, keep detailed records, and simultaneously manage several projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to use independent judgment when there are no policies or procedures in place.
  • A current U.S. passport with more than 2 years remaining before expiration and at least 4 blank consecutive pages for VISA stamps.
  • Contributes to the completion of specific logistics projects.
  • Experience in a forward-facing customer support role.
  • Excellent customer presence.

Desirable Skills/Qualifications

  • A graduate of the U.S. Army Automated Logistical Specialist (MOS 92A) or Unit Supply Specialist (MOS92Y) course or a graduate of a technical school or manufacturer's instruction course.
  • Extensive experience with Global Combat Support System- Army
  • Preference is given for military credentials/experience.  
  • Experience in a forward-facing customer support role.
  • Excellent customer presence.

  • DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 2+ years of experience.
