Responsible for the administration and maintenance of existing web sites within NMUSA.
Implement new technologies as they become available (e.g., multimedia, streaming technologies, and active server pages)
Adhere to existing Federal regulations (e.g., Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (29 U.S.C. § 794d), as amended by the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 (P.L. 105-220))
Respond to and implement requests and mandates for changes to existing web sites as approved by COR and designated NMUSA Staff Members.
Support WordPress administration, configuration and maintenance of NMUSA’s website environment.
Utilize WordPress, HTML, Dreamweaver, and Amazon web site hosting.
Perform research in areas of emerging technologies (i.e. metadata, portals, and cloud technology).
Develop, administer, and maintain web sites for NMUSA
Conduct testing, implementation, user training (on-site or remote), adherence to NMUSA and Government Guidelines, and database design and maintenance, when applicable.
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field of study
10+ years of experience in Information Technology Field or Graphic Design.
Experience with WordPress, HTML, Dreamweaver, and Amazon web site hosting.
Strong experience with developing, administering, and maintaining web sites
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language including unique technical terminology required for the performance of these duties and functions.
Must have the ability to operate a computer and be familiar with using the Microsoft Office Suite.

Favorably adjudicated National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) at time of start
National Museum of the United States Army, Fort Belvoir, Virginia
Work hours to be between 6:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday, working an 8 hour shift. Core hours are 10am-2pm. Shift time to be determined.
Telework only under special circumstances and must be authorized by the government
Occasional travel may be required – normally less than 10%.
