We stay at the forefront of innovation to solve complex technical challenges.  We are looking for a Program Risk Management Advisor for a digital engineering design, development, testing, fielding, and sustainment effort for an US Air Force Program in support of the next generation of the US Strategic Deterrent Forces.  

The position will support a US Air Force program that is playing a major role in strengthening and modernizing America's Strategic Deterrent Force. GDIT will develop and deliver a digital engineering design solution which enables and integrates the program’s complete set of data, tools, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) activities, and makes them available to internal and appropriate external engineering and programmatic stakeholders throughout the program’s lifecycle. This effort will culminate in an abstracted, highly transportable environment delivered to the Government, to be instantiated “virtually” on the Government’s network infrastructure and updated during the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of weapon system development.

General Duties:

  • Continuously review program risk data and backlogs to manage quality of risks and issues and work closely with risk/issue owners to develop and status mitigation/action plans

  • Update and maintain the Program Risk, Issue and Opportunity Register

  • Ensure organizational governance, which involves external risk reporting to stakeholders

  • Review program documents and risk/issue data and coordinate/facilitate cross organizational risks/issues with internal/external stakeholders

  • Maintain/refine risk management processes and as needed, provide support, education, and training of risk management standards, practices and processes to all internal stakeholders to build risk awareness within the program

  • Work with technical leads to facilitate the quantification of Risk/Issue cost, schedule and/or performance impacts

  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge of systems and data

Required Skills:

  • Possess a solid understanding of process, risk, and control design concepts and governance from an operational risk management or audit perspective

  • Have a solid working knowledge of ad hoc reporting and research analysis experience

  • Ability to interact and build effective working relationships with peers and all levels of management

  • Must be able to leverage on data and statistical tools to draw valid conclusions and solve business problems

  • Have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, and Excel, as well as experience with specific applications relevant to the industry

  • Proficiency with SharePoint and MS Teams

  • Familiarity and experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and/or Lean Agile processes and/or DevSecOps environments

  • 5-8+ years of experience as a risk analyst or manager of risk management processes

  • Experience working with distributed teams of Software Developers, engineers and other subject matter experts using virtual collaboration tools

Experience and Education:

  • BA/BS with 8+ years of experience as a risk analyst or manager of risk management processes (or equivalent)

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Current PMP certification or equivalent

  • Current ITILv4 certification

  • Current Top Secret with eligibility for SCI

  • Familiarity and experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

  • Familiarity with cloud-based information technology solutions

Security Clearance:

Active SECRET or above, preferred

Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance

The likely salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
