Please take this opportunity to join one of GDIT’s fastest long-standing growing programs!  US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team. 

Candidate will work across the US BICES-X enterprise as well as other US BICES associated Task Orders where needed.  The candidate will work on Strategic roadmap initiatives as well as support new developments for future initiatives. The candidate will assist with planning and requirements capturing in direct support of US BICES.  Candidate will coordinate with the US BICES Capabilities Office (BCO) and other components to facilitate open and frequent communications and ensure US BICES is effectively supported.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs complex systems development and design work that may include Data Center designs, IdAM, Automation solution, and cost projections.
  • Performs systems testing, simulation, and analysis.
  • Participates in the upgrading of Enterprise networks and design of systems enhancements.
  • Builds and supports lab developments.
  • Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems.
  • Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems.
  • Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
  • Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
  • May provide guidance and work leadership to less experienced engineers.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of related network or systems engineering experience
  • Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Must meet DoD 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT Level II (Security+) access upon hire for positions with elevated privileges and must obtain ITIL V4 Foundation within six months of hire
  • The work environment is fast paced and requires the ability to work on multiple projects at once and the ability to reprioritize based on customer needs
  • Experience with Red Hat Linux, and/or Microsoft Server 2016/2019

Desired Qualifications:

  • MCSA or MCSE
  • Experience with PKI deployments with Microsoft Certificate Services or Red Hat Certificate services
  • Experience with IdAM solutions integrated with Active Directory
  • Experience with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS)
  • Experience with Python, Ansible
  • Experience VMware vRealize Automation

This position may be required to complete short-term deployments worldwide

The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment
