Supports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning and administration of various phases of day-to-day fulfillment of assigned program’s customer orders from order receipt through delivery.
General Program Support
Analyzes standard contractual documents, customer usage data, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts.
Coordinates with cross-functional groups to process all customer orders within contractual requirements
Monitors open orders to ensure that older orders are being prioritized through the entire order cycle (from customer order receipt through complete order shipment and fulfillment)
Ensure order management system is updated timely and orders are closed to allow for quick vendor payment and customer invoicing
Track and monitor backorders to expedite fulfillment where able
Collects delivery information from a variety of sources to elevate urgent items to warehouse operations
Coordinate with Procurement Team to ensure stock is delivered on schedule
Identify alternate sources of supply to meet customer requirements
Develops logistics plans to enhance distribution of goods and supplies.
Follows established policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
Bachelor’s Degree required with a concentration in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Operations preferred. Military experience will be considered.
Two (2) years’ experience in customer order management and/or customer service
Active Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain)
Previous experience in coordinating customer accounts and sales orders
Previous experience utilizing ERP and WMS applications preferred
Candidate must be detail-oriented, a self-starter, and someone who takes initiative with minimal supervision.
