GDIT is seeking a Salesforce Software Developer Associate (Intern) in Bossier City, La

Profile

The Software Developer Associate (Intern) will be responsible for creating custom applications and solutions leveraging the Salesforce.com platform.  This role will primarily focus on configuration, custom code development, testing and data migrations.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Leverage Salesforce out of the box functionality to build custom solutions
  • Develop Apex, Lightning Web Components, Force.com pages and assist in building integrations to third party solutions
  • Finalize data mapping and complete data migration activities as needed
  • Create and execute unit test classes
  • Conduct System & Integration Testing (SIT) and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for end-to-end solution testing, responsible for entry and exit criteria metrics
  • Defect Review and Bug Fix
  • Develop technical design documentation to support custom development

Additional Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in accredited college or university with at least 1 semester of school remaining after summer 2020 internship
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science or related field 
  • Foundational understanding of software implementations, including development, across the full development lifecycle.
  • Have Object Oriented Development Skills (Java, .Net, PHP/Python); Java experience preferred
  • 1-2 years web development experience including CSS, JavaScript, DHTML, HTML, XML, AJAX, jQuery or equivalent education related experience
  • Ability to understand relational databases, including the use of triggers, views and stored procedures.
  • Ability to understand Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) using SOAP and and/or RESTful APIs
  • Foundation in application design principles and product configurations, agile project methodologies a plus
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills for development and testing 
  • Team player with strong listening and interpersonal skills; strong desire to take on constructive feedback/coaching and make definitive changes; self-awareness and the ability to adapt communication and interaction styles to best suit an audience, situation, or desired outcome.
  • Detail and quality oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies.
  • Applicant should be able to work independently and with geographically dispersed teams.
