We are seeking an Afghanistan Site Lead that is able to work independently – please read below!

  • Provides technical, administrative, and operational management of assigned project or tasks, including contract and subcontractor management.
  • Works with Task Order Site Lead, Task Order Project Manager and Team Supervisors in a weak matrixed environment to deliver IT projects throughout the Middle East.
  • Strong technical background in Systems or Networks is strongly desired.
  • Will occasionally be required to perform desktop support, networks, systems, information assurance and logistics duties.
  • May also perform high level technical services on assigned tasks.
  • Participates in the development of technical project plans, schedules, proposals, reports, and task order and administrative reporting.
  • Conducts planning, briefings, and provides recommendations on task workload.
  • Attends customer meetings and may serve as primary liaison.
  • Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff.
  • Coordinates development of deliverables and products.
  • Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
  • Effective management skills.
  • Effective administrative and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience required.
  • BA/BS required (may substitute additional years of experience)
  • Must possess and maintain a Secret (TS/SCI strongly preferred) clearance.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a visa based on the country requirements.
  • Must be able to pass requirements necessary to be medically cleared by the USCENTCOM Clinic or a third party vendor, within a reasonable time period, as determined at the sole discretion of the customer.  This includes meeting medical, dental, and psychological requirements, being able to obtain all required immunizations, and not being in a high risk status for COVID-19 as defined by the customer.
  • Additional specific certifications may be required, depending on job assignment. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred certifications: Security+ ce, CySA+, or CCNA Security. Higher certifications such as CASP+ ce, CCNP Security, or CISSP are acceptable. A valid Cisco certification such as CCNA or CCNP and/or a valid Microsoft certification such as MCSA / MCSE for Microsoft Server 2016.
  • Experience supporting multination customers preferred.
  • Experience operating in deployed environments preferred.
  • Selected candidate must be willing to travel throughout the Middle East. Travel may be via commercial or military transport. Modes of transport include, but are not limited to; car, truck, armored vehicle, fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
  • This position may be required to complete short-term deployments to austere locations worldwide. Candidate will be expected to live alongside deployed military personnel in military provided accommodation. Housing options include, but are not limited to; open bay tents and multi-personnel containerized housing units “CHUs”.
  • The position will be based in Afghanistan.  There is no guarantee at which base in Afghanistan the position will be located.  The position may be relocated at any time within the country of Afghanistan to meet mission support requirements.  Work location/rotation of locations will be at the Site Lead’s discretion.
  • This position is supporting a fluid military missions. You may be required to relocate (temporarily or permanently) to different operating locations within the CENTCOM AOR.
  •  Professional certification (PMP) preferred.
  • The work is typically performed at client site locations, which requires proper safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.
