This is a great opportunity for a seasoned Subcontracts Manager to work in a department that is focused on building a brilliant team of subcontracts professionals with a reputation for providing excellent internal customer service. 


In this role, you will serve as the lead Subcontracts representative supporting the Joint, Air Force, Navy, and Coalition Sector within the Defense Division, overseeing a staff of at least 4-6 including at least one subordinate manager and over $200M of annual subcontracted spend.  You will report to the Sr. Director - Subcontracts for the Defense Division and will specifically be responsible for subcontract actions including proposal and operational requirements, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and interacting with Growth, Operations, Legal, and Accounting to resolve complex subcontracts issues.

It is anticipated this role will be a mixture of telework and in-person at a GDIT facility. 

Required Skills

A Subcontracts Manager:

  • has excellent communication skills
  • Utilizes strong analytical, problem solving skills and ability to think strategically with financial and business acumen skills
  • is familiar with FAR and other regulatory requirements
  • is able to demonstrate the ability to multi-task,
  • understands the principles of fair and reasonable pricing (price analysis) and price negotiations
  • identifies risks in subcontracts terms and conditions and facilitates the mitigation of those risks through communication with program managers, business operations, and subcontracts managers
  • is familiar with the Microsoft suite including word and excel
  • has previous experience managing and motivating personnel

To qualify for this job you must have BA/BS or equivalent and at least 5 years of related subcontracts experience in addition to previous experience managing subcontracts staff
