ARMA-Global is currently pursuing a qualified candidate to serve as an Instructional Designer for the Joint Education and Training System (JETS) program Training Team. The Instructional Designer will assist to create, modify, and format customer courseware and courseware documentation.
In addition, assisting with training as required when, new applications and capabilities are released. The Training Team may on occasion assist requirements, testing, and support teams as new capabilities come online.
Develop of training materials based on ADDIE
Develop/update eLearning modules, interaction templates and support materials with subject matter expert support from detailed design documents, storyboards, and scripts
Manage all aspects of module development and periodic updates, as needed
Design and develop content for different eLearning platforms – instructor led, mobile, large screen, webinars, community forums, knowledge base etc
Review of training materials and ensure the quality of the deliverables
Gather feedback and conduct analysis of training sessions
Conduct “hot wash” of training sessions and make recommendations for improvement
Implement quality checks of deliverables, checklists and review brandings and markings
Assist with maintaining internal Training SharePoint site
Assist with Train-the-Trainer sessions and develop best practices that will be shared across the organization
Final Secret clearance
Experience working with SCORM, and LMS administration, preferably Moodle
Experience with military training programs
Experience conducting training in a corporate, government or academic setting
Understand the process for developing training materials
Experience with multimedia tools for developing training materials
Develop and maintain accurate documentation for internal procedures and services
Proven Experience with Adobe products, MS Office Suite, and SharePoint portals
Highly proficient with presentation software, authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe InDesign) and animation. Video editing experience is a plus
Familiarity with Camtasia or Captivate
Comfortable working on a distributed team, while working remotely
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other Cloud Service Providers (CSPs)
BA or BS degree
The likely hourly rate for this position is between $64,000.00 - $96,000.00, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
