Job Description

Our work depends on a Medicare Program Strategist joining our team to support our continued growth. The primary responsibilities for this role will be to define strategy, new program solutions, analytic program reports and proposals to expand our growth in Medicare and Medicaid programs.

This individual will interpret new policies and programs for implementation, author relevant content based on the business objectives and client needs, write proposal content and analytic program reports.


HOW A MEDICARE PROGRAM STRATEGIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Analyzes program needs, performs research and develops strategy on a variety of projects.
  • Works directly with relevant stakeholders, subject matter experts and executive leaders to identify, develop and gather content to respond to procurement opportunities.
  • Analyzes new Medicare Parts A, B, C and D policies and translate into new program implementation concepts.
  • Leverages expertise in health equity initiatives and understanding of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services health equity goals and objectives.
  • Develop competitive content for request for proposals (RFPs) and related documents; analyze to understand and capture specific proposal requirements.
  • Manage draft materials for consistency, clarity, appropriateness and persuasiveness; proofread and edit content as needed.
  • Work with staff to position and document operational successes and stories which can be used to support responses.
  • Co-author Medicare analytic program reports and manuscripts for publication
  • Present information to and effective communicate with senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with team of advanced health services researchers and program specialists.
  • Interact with multidisciplinary team and external partners and facilitate exploratory discussions to understand and define strategy in accordance with program objectives.
  • Communicate project risks as needed.
  • Stay current with Medicare policy updates and emerging issues related to Medicare industry topics.
  • Apply Medicare policy expertise and analytics experience to develop strategy, proposal content and Medicare program reports.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science
  • 15+ years of related experience in healthcare policy analysis and research, health equity, Medicare and/or Federal proposal or technical writing.
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Teams and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and written communication skills.
  • Strong editing skills.
  • Ability to write clear, structured, articulate and persuasive responses.
  • Strong organization skills that allow the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Medicare related programs.
  • Ability to accept and incorporate constructive feedback.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

DESIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Previous Medicare strategy development, proposal writing and/or analytic program reporting experience

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $130,690 - $196,036, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
