The Sponsor’s Database Management Team (DM Team) provides database related support for the performance, integrity, management and security of up to 8 mission critical information systems. These systems are web based with a wide range of complexity and size. The data is both current and historical, structured and unstructured. Support of these systems requires a DM Team that provides technical expertise in the design, implementation, and maintenance of multiple database management systems of varying types, architectures and hosting platforms, primarily the AWS cloud. The DM Team will be required to prepare applicable documentation, present on related topics at meetings, and coordinate and communicate directly with the Sponsor and other development teams. Additional responsibilities include working with Sponsor project teams store, organize and update information, activate or deactivate database accounts and assist data analyst in data related research. The DM Team will execute as a team with a designated team lead.
 

WORK REQUIREMENTS
• The Contractor shall work closely with the several existing multi-disciplinary teams; however, the Sponsor project manager will manage the priorities.
• The Sponsor’s Database Management Team (DM Team) shall provide database related support for up to 8 most mission critical information systems.
• The Sponsor’s (DM Team) shall maintain and improve the performance, integrity, and security highly sensitive data of varying sized and level of complexity by providing technical expertise in the design, implementation, and maintenance of multiple database management systems of varying types, architectures and hosting platforms, primarily the AWS cloud.
• The DM Team shall prepare applicable documentation, present on related topics at meetings, coordinate and communicate directly with the Sponsor and other development teams.
• The DM Team shall store, organize and update information, activate or deactivate database accounts and assist data analyst in data related research.
• The DM Team shall execute as a team with a designated team lead and collaborate/coordinate with the other project teams within the group.
• The Contractor shall support the data transition from an Oracle database to cloud based database service.
 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE
The Contractor shall have the following required skills, certifications and demonstrated experience:
• The Contractor shall be able to attain permission to handle highly sensitive data for all projects.
• Demonstrated experience proving operational and maintenance support in a production system
• Demonstrated experience
o Designing, building and deploying database schemes, tables, procedures and permissions.
o Developing database utilities and automated reporting.
o Analyzing and sustaining capacity and performance requirements.
o Providing database administration, management, data imports and exports, and developing reports.
• Demonstrated experience in
o cloud based database services such as PostgreSQL or AWS RDS
o database structure languages such as SQL or SQL/PSM
o Multi-model database management systems such as Oracle Enterprise version 12c or current version.
• Demonstrated experience with
o Managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
o Operating independently and as a team member
o Problem-solving skills.
o Oral and written communication skills.
• Minimum 10 years experience
• TS/SCI with Polygraph

• Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service.
• Demonstrated experience briefing technical topics to a non-technical audience.
• Demonstrated experience operating within the life cycle management process when implementing changes in technology.
• Demonstrated experience in obtaining Sponsors authentication and accreditation certification for systems with highly sensitive data.
• Demonstrated experience with

Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems

Applies knowledge of API (Application Programing Interface) for data services and databases

Designs, develops, builds, analyzes, evaluates, installs and administers database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation and configuration management

Designs and implements databases with respect to access methods, access time, batch processes, device allocation, validation checks, organization, ETL tasks, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods

Prepares system requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation

Defines database organizations, standards, controls, procedures, and documentation

Provides technical consulting in the definition, design, and creation of a database environment

Advises applications development staff and users on data-based solutions to business problems, data architectures, database management system facilities and capabilities, and the operation and tuning of databases

Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned

May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals

May serve as a team or task lead

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BA/BS or equivalent, 10+ years of experience
