Training Specialist II

Our work depends on a Training Specialist II joining our team to support the CMS Quality Data Analytics and Services (QDAS) contract.

A Training Specialist:

Assesses, designs and conceptualizes training scenarios, approaches, objectives, plans, tools, aids, curriculums, and other state of the art technologies related to training and behavioral studies. 

Identifies the best approach training requirements to include, but not limited to hardware, software, simulations, course assessment and refreshment, assessment centers, oral examinations, interviews, computer assisted and adaptive testing, behavior-based assessment and performance, and team and unit assessment and measurement.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Preparing and/or conducing training programs, teaching classes, holding seminars and facilitating discussion groups.
• Designing, developing, organizing and delivering training programs to train all levels of personnel.
• Developing tests and visual aids, conducting training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
• Preparing and facilitating training on technical topics related to data, analytics, machine learning, Natural Language Processing and Artificial Intelligence.
• Overseeing the planning and designing of instructional methods and materials.
• Overseeing the delivery of remote or in-person training classes, seminars, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises and discussion groups for customers, other contractors and/or employees.
• Developing measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of instruction or training interventions.
• May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 2+ years of experience
• Conceptual knowledge of data projects, environments (including AWS), analytic tools, machine learning, Natural Language Processing and Artificial Intelligence.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent presentation skills.
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
• Experience with telecommuting, working from a home office

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Medicare Quality Programs
• Experience in the Health Care Industry
