General Dynamics Information Technology – Federal Civilian Division is currently looking for a Strategic Planner/Process Improvement Subject Matter Expert in the area of business operations, product development and product management to join our team to support the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Development Activity (USAMMDA). 

In this role you will:

  • Use expert level knowledge of integration to support strategic analysis and process improvement to the Army medical program.
  • Assist with development, coordination, prioritizing, and execution of the USAMMDA strategic plan. 
  • Provide detailed analysis, evaluation, advice, and recommendations for process improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance to the Commander and Working Groups.
  • Will take initiative to address specific challenges/issues.
  • Implement the Strategic Plan and the related Strategic Communications Plan.
  • Provide support as needed to support the goals and objectives outlined in the program’s strategic plan. 
  • Assist in updating metrics and monitoring accomplishments against the strategic plan and process improvement initiatives.  
  • Provide insights and support to the Process Improvement Team.
  • Monitor, evaluate and provide recommendations on project management, human resources, IT, and other business and technical operations and performance to improve compliance, efficiency, and procedures.
  • Participate in special projects as required.


  • Bachelors’ Degree in related discipline
  • DAWIA Level II-III in Program Management and/or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) certification
  • Over 15 years’ experience a project management, technical processed, business systems engineering, DoD acquisition, process improvement methodologies, and/or FDA requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Must be able to work and effectively communicate in a diverse workforce environment with military, civilian, and contract personnel
  • Experience with the use of Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to obtain T1 (Public Trust)


  • Masters degree preferred

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $0.00 - $0.00, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
