At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Administrative Assistant III a typical day will include:
The AA provides day-to-day support of Sponsor hiring office's sponsored classes, to include, but not necessarily inclusive: maintains student enrollment/completion rosters for 15 different 1 day training courses with the possibility of expansion to 1-3 day courses dependent upon COVlD restrictions in Sponsor's training system of record that occur 4 to 24 times per year; set up and break down classrooms (may occasionally require an early arrival and/or late departure for some courses), some of which are at buildings other than Chantilly office (normal workplace); copy/update and bind training materials in a variety of bindings; deliver training materials to classrooms; confirm classroom reservations and/or reserve classrooms
Run slides at some courses; send out course surveys; send out reminders for course surveys with low response rate; create course survey report; maintain course records
The AA will be required to keep the team's staff officer informed of activities however; the AA will enjoy a high degree of autonomy for shaping their daily activities. The AA interfaces with course instructors while coordinating training classes and the work is both dynamic and transactional in nature
The AA will be part of a team environment and can call upon team support when/if needed. Backup duties could include representing the team at occasional meetings, coordinating for training or office supplies, and entering visitor requests for uncleared instructors or facilitators. Inhouse guidance or training is available to asset the incoming AA if needed
The AA will utilize both verbal and written communication skills during the course of the duty day however; each is typically of an informal nature. There are no walk-in or call center requirements. The AA can be expected to move between classrooms (all are on the DD compound).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
HS Diploma and 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
TS/SCI with Polygraph
The AA has the latitude to set their own schedule dependent upon scheduled course timing. Typically, the AA reports for work between 7-8:30 am and adjusts departure times as needed
Proficient Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Able to perform duties with minimal supervision and some team interaction
