1-2 years of direct USPS experience managing postal clerks, carriers, and routes. The ideal Candidate will focus on the client’s operational requirements within a challenging and dynamic setting to perform rigorous, time sensitive activities. Candidate must have the ability to perform self-directed work and with minimal supervision while maintaining deadlines and perform work in a rigorous collaborative environment. Customer Service skills and ability to work and communicate with people a must since specific duties will be to maintain a “store front” office and provide daily customer interface regarding customer’s internal and external pickup and delivery services. Candidate must be detail–oriented and be able to accurately update and maintain customer and company databases. Other duties assigned, but not limited to; mail and package sorting, slotting, and/or distributing to other mail facilities, ordering of supplies, weekly reporting of status, and serve as backup courier for the client. Some local travel will be required. Candidate must possess demonstrable knowledge of MS Office suite of tools (primarily Outlook, Word, and Excel). Core hours will be 7:30am to 3:30pm, daily, M-F. Candidate must have the ability to lift packages and bins weighing up to 51 pounds and must be a US citizen with commensurate TS/SCI clearance.
Other duties to include:
Performs a variety of general administrative tasks, such as preparing reports and correspondence, answering phones, filing, sorting, and distributing mail, in support of the day-to-day operations of an office, group or customer
May collect and input timesheet data into automated accounting system and process labor corrections
May process purchasing requisitions, invoices for consultants and subcontractors, and travel and expense reports
Serves as a point of contact for office or group on issues related to accounting, human resources, purchasing, and other departments, as well as external contacts such as customers, vendors, and subcontractors
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
May serve as a team or task lead
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: AA/AS (or equivalent experience), 1-3 years of experience
