We are seeking a Project Analyst with a strong understanding of project management and data analysis involving planning and coordination of information technology projects for the Dept. Of Justice in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities of the Project Analyst include, but are not limited to:
Prior experience as a project analyst in information technology preferred
Maintain project timeframes, schedules, objectives and communications
Create and manage documentation and reports for projects
Identify the goals and requirements
Verify data and information and analyze it to suit the direction of a project
Track, forecast and report on project progress including metrics and challenges
Proficient in computer technology and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional research and reporting skills
Must be in possession of an “active” top secret clearance with eligibility for a CI polygraph
Must understand Basic documentation software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must have a knowledge of Diagramming software (such as Microsoft Visio)
Minimum/General Experience: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or computer science and 3-5 years of related experience. Also requires knowledge of Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to succeed in this position with many good candidates also possessing excellent research and presentation skills. Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications preferred, or an equivalent certification or degree to PMP.
