GDIT is seeking a Cloud Architect in Support of a New Program.

This cloud architect technical authority position will focus on all aspects of design, analysis, implementation and support of systems, software or other solutions pertaining to deploying capabilities to cloud systems. The candidate will work within a team of software, cloud and IT engineers to build high performance, cloud based visualization and dissemination services focused on high fidelity geospatial data sources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the development of open architectures and applications, infrastructure, and cloud platforms to ensure they are best suited for Cloud deployment and consumption.
  • Drives the organization towards Cloud best practices and supporting technologies to enable such capabilities as DevSecOps, Big Data/Analytics, AI, Cloud scalability, and Micro-Services.
  • Architect, design, develop, troubleshoot, and implement cloud solutions across a hybrid cloud platform
  • Strong understanding of the CI/CD pipeline including implementation of Infrastructure as Code.
  • Work closely with the Information Technology Security team to ensure the applications and solutions designed and deployed are secure and compliant.
  • Effectively Interface with Customer personnel at varying organizational levels

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance  MBA or MS degree or higher level of educations – technical degree, minor or specialization in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, data analytics or related field required.
  • Experience managing/implementing server/clients with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Platforms and Federation Services (NetIQ, ADFS, Azure MFA, Keycloak, Redhat SSO, Duo, SAML, etc.)
  • Experience using a source code repository such as BitBucket, Mercurial, GIT, or Subversion
  • Experience using a defect management system such as Bugzilla, JIRA, or Fogbugz Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Incumbent must hold one or more of the following: o (ISC)² Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) o CompTIA Cloud+ o Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert o Microsoft 365 Certified Enterprise Administrator Expert o

The likely salary range for this position is $100,248 - $167,413, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
