The DevSecOps Architect Lead will provide support in design, implementation, test, deploy, monitor and support continuous integration pipelines utilizing cloud and container technologies. Build and deploy to development, testing, and production environments. This role is key in expanding our automation framework to build and update the development, testing, and production environments (infrastructure as code).
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop better and more efficient ways of delivering solutions that meet business objectives.
Creates/updates and maintains system documentation
Write process requirements, technical design documents, and standard operating procedures
Automate management and orchestration tasks.
Build CI/CD pipelines for Microservices and deployment to containers and server less environments.
Perform and automate Linux /CentOS administration activities and collaborate with the development and test teams on continually improving our processes
Work with Scrum/Kanban teams to build and deliver software releases and infrastructure improvements through improved CI/CD processes.
Conduct investigations and analysis to provide recommendations regarding technology improvements, development best practices, standardization, upgrades, and modifications to the DevOps process.
Monitor the CI/CD pipeline to identify performance and perform troubleshooting
Work collaboratively and effectively with all levels of management and staff within the organization
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in computer science information technology with minimum 10 years of experience in the Information Technology field focusing on development projects, DevSecOps and technical architecture specifically
Experience with DevSecOps and IaC tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or SaltStack (Jenkins, OKD and Ansible preferred)
Minimum 3 years of experience with infrastructure in a cloud environment (AWS under FedRAMP preferred)
Minimum 3 years of experience deploying and managing containers, OpenShift, OKD, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
Experience and expertise in large scale, high performance enterprise big data application deployment and solution architecture on complex heterogeneous environments in AWS
Experience and understanding of scripting (e.g. bash)
Experience with GitHub or other source code control systems, branching and merging, automated unit testing frameworks, automated build tools, and automated deploy frameworks
Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, and SharePoint
Experience working with a variety of open-source tools and technologies for managing source codes
Experience with software code testing and deployment (Cucumber, JMeter, Selenium, SOAPUI)
Experience in development, testing, and deployment technologies
Experience with software development through automation tools.
A firm working experience with Agile teams and methodology.
Good understanding of security and ability to integrate code quality scanning tools to CI/CD pipelines
Good skills in communication and working with teams.
Desired Education, Experience, and Skills
US Citizen with DHS Public Trust suitability clearance/EOD
Experience with any DHS agencies or entities
5+ years’ experience with one or more programming or scripting languages such as bash, PowerShell, C#, Java, Python, Ruby or C++
Ability to manage time effectively, to work under pressure, to meet schedules and deadlines, to multi-task, to plan, organize and prioritize work assignments and pay close attention to detail
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Candidate must be an US citizen able to obtain DHS Public Trust clearance and USCIS EOD to start work
