GDIT is currently looking for a Functional Analyst in support of the LMSS contract at Ft. Hood, TX. The position requires someone with a current and active Secret clearance.
Responsible for providing on going analytics and identifying issues related to a variety of non-technical and technical project deliverable(s); as it relates to requirements determination, conceptualization, design, development, testing, verification and validation, documentation, and implementation. Conducts research and analytical studies on a variety of programs and issues; coordinates and expedites reports and program; develops procedures; formulates recommendations and prepares reports. Conduct organizational analysis and evaluations, to determine functional requirements, conduct work simplification and measurement studies, and prepare operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively.
Review the Automated Installation Entry (AIE) Failure Reporting Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) report and conduct a Root Cause Analysis of the AIE system. Tracks and maintains failure items and rates for long term sustainability of the AIE system. Serves as the Logistics SME to review and involve site POCs to resolve any AIE Failure Analysis and Corrective Action Report (FACAR) related issues/problems and issue resolution. Assists in maintaining equipment accountability at the program level. Review logistical functions and identify areas of improvement to management. Handles unforeseen issues and adjust plans as needed to resolve the issues. Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements. Tracks the warranties and service agreements for the Program. Reports to the Program Manager for daily updates and tasks. Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements.
Analyzes user needs to determine functional requirements for a wide variety of projects.
Utilizes moderately complex modeling and measuring techniques.
Conducts functional testing of various projects or systems.
Researches, identifies, and assists in the formulation of recommendations about resources required for task execution and completion.
Participates in the development of new functionality or updates the existing, to meet client needs.
Writes and updates project documentation including procedures and training materials.
Performs functional allocations to identify tasks and their inter-relationships.
Must have experience with tracking required materials for various projects thru a logistics system from start to finish.
Must have experience interpreting schematics and understand the basic concepts of Alternating current and Direct current systems that do not exceed 30 amps to include different types of terminating plugs from Nema connections to ac wall outlets.
Must be able to identify parts for telecom applications from various types of cabling that range from RG6 RG59 CAT5 CAT6 Single Mode Fiber optics.
Must be able to identify and source Network equipment or assist Logistics in acquiring specific hardware needed for different applications in the field.
Must be able to source and identify compatible equipment based off engineering drawings in support of Field teams.
This position will also require some leadership skills as you will be filling in as the lead on an as needed basis.
Must be knowledgeable in system development and life cycle practices.
BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 2+ years of experience
Must have a current and active Secret clearance
