GDIT is currently seeking a senior Program Director within the Justice, Judical, and Law Enforcement Business Area. The selected candidate will be responsible for the management and growth of the FBI portfolio. There are currently over a dozen FBI projects of varying size, a number of which are coming up for recompete. The Program Director will have full P&L responsibility for the FBI portfolio and will be required to assist in the overall growth of the business area by assisting on proposals in other portfolios.
Responsible for all phases of programs from inception through completion working with project managers to ensure successful performance of the projects within the FBI portfolio.
Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
Acts as secondary customer contact for program activities; when needed, assists project managers in leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer.
Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
Directs the work of multiple project managers for the projects within the FBI portfolio, and provides guidance and mentorship to the project managers as needed.
If needed, assists project managers in directing the work of employees assigned to the FBI projects from technical and administrative areas.
Candidates MUST possess an active Top Secret security clearance
Bachelor’s Degree in business related field or engineering and at least 10+ years of Enterprise Program Management experience, experience interfacing and presenting to C-level executives
Must have experience defining, implementing and managing project processes
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to business leaders
Experience pursuing new business proposals and capture.
