The Atlassian Admin & Agile Coach will work with members of the Enterprise IT Services-ALM Team, vendors, and internal customers to design, implement, test, document, and deploy enhancements, fixes, and configuration changes needed to support the ALM tools suite and associated Agile processes. Daily activities will include but are not be limited to, developing solutions within the Atlassian suite of tools, system administration, custom configuration, and Agile coaching. The candidate should be energetic, self-motivated, and customer-focused.
***Please note: this role can be performed 100% remotely, with a small amount of potentially required travel in the future.
Day-to-day management and administration of Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
Provide end user coaching, training and support including ongoing maintenance of training documentation and management of submitted ticket queue.
Capture and evangelize tips / best practices to make the most effective use of the Atlassian tools
Offer both technical and process solutions to address requirements, evaluate alternate solutions, and perform analysis to determine technical courses of action.
Provide mentoring and coaching on core Agile values, principles, practices, and processes.
Map current processes and establish goals for improving, automating and increasing the technical agility of the organization.
Perform data integrity and system clean-up using a standardized reporting process and remediation plans.
Track and monitor utilization (resource and system) and project performance through dashboards and reporting.
Develop metrics, dashboards and reports for senior management providing meaningful operational/performance metrics and status.
Create technical architecture, design and user guide documentation.
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders, including internal customers.
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
To be considered for the role, candidates must have the following:
Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years’ related experience, or 12 years related experience in lieu of degree
Solid understanding of agile values, principles, practices, and frameworks, particularly Scrum and Kanban
Flexible and proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
2+ years of experience configuring and administering Jira and Confluence
Solid understanding of Jira projects, boards, workflows, issue types, filters, and various schemes
Experience customizing Confluence spaces and integration with Jira
Experience using Microsoft SQL Server and Windows Server
Strong research and problem solving skills
Experience managing multi-system projects and self-organized, cross-functional project teams in a matrixed environment
Excellent collaboration skills, both written and verbal
Ability to effectively work in a team environment, as well as the ability to mentor team members
The following are not must-haves to be considered, it would be extremely beneficial if you have:
Experience coaching, mentoring and training Agile / Scrum teams using Scrum or Kanban
Scrum Master certification
Experience with JIRA Data Center, ScriptRunner, BigPicture, eazyBI, Zephyr, and/or T4J
Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools and processes
