The United States faces increasingly skilled cyber threats that seek to penetrate our Government from several sources, whether hacktivists, thieves, terrorists, nation-states, or others. Beyond the potential theft of state secrets, and the loss of proprietary intellectual property, these threats pose a national security risk.
To counter these threats, federal law and policy directed the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and this Federal Government Agency to establish cyber analysis, warning, and mitigation capabilities for our nation.
GDIT has an opportunity for an experienced SAFE Agile DevSecOps Manager to join an IT Operations Project in support of this Federal Government Agency.
The qualified candidate will perform the following tasks:
Performs a variety of complex administrative and analytical tasks in support of one or more high profile contract programs.
Develops plans, including budgets and schedules, and monitors tasks to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned program(s).
Establishes and defines program plan requirements and directs or performs in-depth studies to determine optimum program plans.
Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
Interacts regularly with high-level customers and other industry representatives to ensure conformance to customer requirements.
Performs business development activities.
Participates in special projects as required.
May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts, and may have supervisory responsibilities.
May serve as a mentor to less experienced analysts.
May serve as team or task lead. (Not a people manager)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 10+ years of experience
Experience leading Agile/DevSecOps experience facilitating cross-functional teams performing software development using Agile/Iterative/DevSecOps software methodologies.
Responsible for team and program level support to ensure that delivery teams are adopting agile/iterative methods and performing effectively.
Responsible for embedding an agile culture using techniques from a wide range of agile, (SAFe®) or DevSecOps methodologies and frameworks.
Helps to create an open and trust-based environment, which enables a focus on delivery and facilitates continuous improvement.
Showcases relevant tools and techniques such as coaching, advising, workshops, etc. and apply tools and techniques to team roles, behaviors, structure, and culture.
Ensure key metrics and requirements that support cross-functional teams and delivery are well defined and maintained.
