Job Description

Support mission-critical initiatives and enable the growth of our business as an Accountant at GDIT. Working on the Finance team, you’ll become an integral part of how GDIT is able to ensure the safety and security of our nation.
Our work depends on an Accountant joining our team to report accurate financial statements.

HOW AN ACCOUNTANT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Performs tasks in general or specialized functions in Accounting or Financial Services. Responsible for recording and reporting transactions of the company

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Track, code, and acquire approvals for all Corporate and Shared Resources payroll interdivisional invoices (IDIs). The team supports three (3) companies each month.
Provide coding expenses for a large volume of monthly overhead and project invoices
Track emails sent out for invoice coding needed to guarantee expenses are recorded monthly
Maintain database of all IDI copies for future audit support
Maintain all emails and approvals related to the IDIs
Load coding and invoice information into an Access Database for uploading into Oracle Financials through journal entries
Reconcile intercompany accounts monthly to confirm amounts recorded match Corporate’s balances at month end
Perform monthly account reconciliations in the ARCS (Account Reconciliation Cloud Service) tool
Create monthly reconciliation files for the Shared Resources payroll journals for audit purposes
Support system reviews as well as DCAA and Internal audits

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Bachelors Degree or additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
2+ years of related experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office-excel, word and adobe
Good communication and problem-solving skills

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $46,400 - $69,600, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
