GDIT has an opportunity for a dynamic and collaborative Service Desk Program Manager to join our team supporting a Federal customer in Washington, DC.  The successful candidate will have a track record of excellent service delivery. The position is responsible for overall program success, supervising all personnel, managing senior and executive level customer relationships and working collaboratively with GDIT leverage organizations to deliver services.  Candidate must be located in the Metropolitan Washington, DC area and willing to report to the Government site, as requested. Customer is largely remote due to Covid-19.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are absolutely essential in this role.  The role requires the ability to successfully juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent work streams.  The successful candidate will thrive on the challenge. 

Responsibilities:

  • Achieving financial and growth targets

  • Developing lasting relationships with the customer and serving as a trusted advisor 

  • Organizing, directing, and managing multiple complex and inter- related project tasks

  • Building a culture throughout the team consistent with GDIT values around honesty, trust, transparency and alignment

  • Overseeing and continually improving delivery

  • Managing staff and subcontractors

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Experience as a Project Manager or a service desk manager on information technology contracts that include a service desk

  • Firm grasp of levers to drive SLAs and an overall positive customer contact experience

  • 5+ years progressive experience in managing/leading IT programs

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT-Related field

  • Leadership qualities that translate into business outcomes – specifically around team building and cohesion, client relationship development, and strategic thinking

  • Outstanding communication capabilities, both verbal and written.  Must have the ability to present in front of audiences of any size

  • Active PMP Certification (highly desired)

  • Familiarity with the Federal award process (desired)

  • Familiarity with the Agile development methodology (desired)
