We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team.  We are seeking a Systems and Database Administrator that is able to work independently – please read below!

Responsibilities:

  • Supports architectures for future-state IT capabilities and services.
  • Work with stakeholders to facilitate alignment of business strategies, operational processes, and IT strategies related to future-state architecture changes.
  • Leverage enterprise methodologies and patterns.
  • Operate and sustain database servers.
  • Operate and sustain other infrastructure servers such as DHCP, DNS, and AD.
  • Troubleshoot clusters/farms of database servers.
  • Identifying and documenting architectural requirements supporting future Enterprise needs, including goals, approach, Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), and desired end state for each milestone.
  • Apply and maintain STIGs along with overall security posture of database and other servers in the Enterprise.
  • Responsible for developing high level system design diagrams.
  • Evaluates analytically and systematically problems with work flows, organization and planning and develops appropriate corrective actions.
  • Implement and troubleshoot high availability database infrastructures.
  • May require professional certification in one or more specific technologies, depending on job assignment.
  • May be required to work outside of “normal” work hours to include weekends and holidays.
  • May be required to support operations in austere and/or remote locations.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of system administration experience required.
  • BA/BS degree – may substitute additional years of experience
  • Must possess and maintain TOP SECRET/SCI Clearance. 
  • Must meet DoD 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II (Security+ or equivalent) access.
  • Must have two to five years of common IT infrastructure services to include DNS, DHCP, SQL Server, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • SQL Server
  • Experience with Server STIGs, patching, ACAS, SCCM, and IAVA vulnerabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SQL Server or other database certifications.
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
  • Experience implementing and supporting a MS SQL Server environment.
  • Experience with clustering, AlwaysOn, and other high availability techniques.
  • Experience supporting multinational customers.
  • Experience with user, administrative and service account creation and management.
  • Experience with direct customer support for both internal and external customers.
  • Experience with Group Policy, and Windows PowerShell.
  • Experience with Multiple OS’ and Scripting Languages
  • Experience with the principles, methods, and techniques used in Microsoft Server 2016 and 2019 administration, troubleshooting and support.
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining systems documentation.
  • Experience with managing, monitoring and responding to key server infrastructure alerts.
  • Experience with monitoring, SCCM, Exchange, and IDPA technologies.
  • Experience with VMWare, Horizon View, and other virtualization technologies.
