GDIT is seeking a Business Development Director to lead and execute growth for our Naval Solutions business area.  You should have a proven record of working closely with Naval mission forces and understand the acquisition life cycle for large and strategic opportunities. You should also have the ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger Defense Growth organization. A demonstrated intimacy across the agency and in particular an understanding of the Navy strategic direction is required to perform this role.

The main location for this position can be located in Norfolk, VA or Falls Church, VA.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain high quality relationships with customers and partners, including next generation technology vendors.
  • Shape opportunities and our position throughout the opportunity life cycle.
  • Formulate and support the communication and implementation of an integrated business development, capture and proposal strategy that clearly highlights GDIT’s value proposition and discriminators, and provides customers a clear and defensible justification for selecting GDIT for award.
  • Establish value added teaming strategies and competitive pricing structures to create a profitable return at a winning cost.
  • Develop marketing strategies and providing input into market account plans with assigned account BD and P&L leaders that align with the company's strategic plan.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS degree; additional years of Navy customer experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Acquisition Management.
  • Extensive background building programs focused on IT Services, Life cycle Software development,
  • Data Analytics and Enterprise Mission support services focused offerings.
  • Experience with Federal/DoD budget, investments and acquisition processes.
  • US Citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Navy experience verifying and validating requirements are properly acquired, engineered and delivered as operational capabilities to the fleet.
  • Navy experience working with engineering teams and some technical depth across all IT service areas such as networked systems, cloud, information defense.
  • Navy experience with technology partner tool suites capable of providing capability assessment against requirements to help solution development including cost and performance leveraging industry best practices to recommend efficiencies of existing technologies as well as the implementation of newer technologies.
  • The ability to facilitate concurrent opportunities and strategic imperatives.
  • The ability to provide information and decision briefs to executive leadership.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Secret, TS/SCI or above.
  • PMP
  • IT Acquisition experience and a proven record of leading strategy for IT systems by identifying, recommending, and helping guide requirements including program activities,
