GDIT is currently looking to hire a Systems Engineer-Entry supporting our IBD-SS contract in Huntsville, AL. Must have a current and active Secret clearance.
Utilize Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to provide solutions to a variety of problems, establishing Standard Operating Procedures, creating and maintaining documentation, and training materials in accordance with established configuration management, safety and quality assurance processes
Manage the full life cycle of mission systems to include researching, design, procurement, cataloging, installation, testing, and maintenance of Force Protection Systems
Collaborate with team members, government customers, and vendors to facilitate operational improvements and provide reach-back support to perform troubleshooting, maintenance, documentation distribution, sparing, and health reports
Perform moderately complex duties in administering network, servers, clients, and operating systems, including installing, configuring, testing, maintaining and troubleshooting assigned devices and software
Experience addressing diminishing manufacturing sources and materiel shortages
DoD 8570 technical certifications as directed by the government and Program Manager
US Government Secret or higher level security clearance as required
Advanced experience/knowledge of IT principles and practices strongly desired such as certifications in Cisco, Microsoft, Linux, and/or VMWare for vSphere
Experience writing technical documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and creating training materials.
Broad technology experience in systems engineering, FP systems, requirements tracking, testing and validation.
HS/GED with 1+ years of experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of the degree. (3 total years of applicable experience in lieu of a degree.)
Must have an active and current US Secret security clearance
