We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual to fulfill a Systems Engineer/Administrator role for the U.S. Army in Europe and Africa in Wiesbaden, Germany

The Systems Engineer/Administrator will work with a team on a number of platforms (SQL Server, ADFS, IIS, CRM, etc.). They may be looked to for transitioning existing on-premises systems to the cloud (Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, etc.)

Additional Job Duties

  • Contributes to completion of major engineering programs and projects

  • Develops solutions to a variety of highly complex engineering problems

  • Perform highly complex systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end

  • Oversees highly complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools

  • Performs continual maintenance and provides highly complex solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems

  • Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects and operations

  • Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology and works with management to evolve current processes

  • May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals

  • May serve as a team or task lead

  • May be asked to work nights/weekends depending on customer needs

Basic Qualifications:

  • Secret Level Security Clearance

  • BA/BS or equivalent, 8+ years of experience

  • Must be eligible for German TESA

  • Experience with Windows Server 2012 R2/2016/2019. Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2017/2019. Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate preferred

  • ADFS experience a plus

  • SharePoint experience a plus

  • IIS experience a plus

  • Must have experience setting up and maintaining Windows Server 2012 R2/2016/2019 operating systems in a DoD environment

  • Must have experience with security hardening of systems, DoD RMF, DISA STIGs and POA&Ms

  • Experience with creating and managing systems in the cloud. Cloud administration associate level certification preferred

  • Must be able to obtain DoDD 8570/8140 IAT II related certification within 90 days of hire

  • Must be able to obtain ITIL Foundation certification within 90 days of hire
