Designs evaluates plans, tests, and operates electrical, electronic, mechanical, and/or computer components, equipment and systems.

1. Analyzes, designs, models, and simulates communications systems, subsystems, and algorithms for satellite communications networks.
2. Analyzes and provides information space segment lease cost, bandwidth requirements, and frequency management.
3. Provides expert operations and maintenance support of antenna controllers, Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA), Low-Noise Amplifier (LNA)/Low-Noise Block downconverter (LNB), up and down converters, Frequency-Division multiple access (FDMA)/Time division multiple access (TDMA) modems (military and commercial)
4. Must have experience with satellite/RF systems analysis including link budgets, noise analysis, modulation/demodulation signal analysis, and forward error correction coding.
5. Prior datalink troubleshooting skills
6. Must have the capability to organize schedule, coordinate work phases, and determine the appropriate approach at the task level or , with assistance, at the project level to provide solutions to a range of complex problems.
7. Provide support for commercial and military satellite acquisition procedures.
8. Performs, or directs the performance of complex engineering assignments involved in the research, design, and development of an overall FR STACOM system comprised of a number of components and or sub systems.
9. Manages SATCOM projects from concept to delivery of hardware solution.

10. Prepares plans, systems specifications and equipment operating procedures.


MS in any discipline


8+ years of customer experience.

Prior military satellite communications operations experience preferred.

Previous experience working with DISA network team is preferred.

Experience writing technical requirements, specifications or statement of work is preferred.
